GRANDMA’S PIE CRUST

Makes 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar, lemon juice, or vodka
  • 4 tablespoons water

Instructions:

Combine flour, shortening, and salt.  In another bowl, mix the remaining ingredients.  Combine both mixtures and roll dough to 1/8″ thick.  If baking on its own, place in 2 pie pans and bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until browned.
