GRANDMA’S MAPLE ICE CREAM – DECEMBER 16 – NATIONAL MAPLE SYRUP DAY

This is my Grandma’s Maple Ice Cream recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 ½ cup whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Heat milk in a double boiler, add syrup, and eggs, then cook, stirring continually until the custard thickens, but do not let boil.  
  2. Let the mixture cool then add the whipping cream and freeze.
