GRANDMA’S MAPLE ICE CREAM – December 16 – National Maple Syrup Day

Serves 4


  • 2 ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 ½ cup whipping cream


  1. Heat milk in a double boiler, add syrup, and eggs, then cook, stirring until the custard thickens, but do not let boil.  
  2. Let the mixture cool then add the whipping cream and freeze.
