AUTUMN SLOW COOKER PORK CHOPS – October 31 – National Apple Month and National Pork Month

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 8 thin boneless pork chops
  • 1 gala apple, cored and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

Place the pork chops in the slow cooker.  Place the apple slices on the pork chops then add the salt and pepper.  

In a bowl mix the Maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, and olive oil.  Drizzle on top of the apples and pork chops.

Cook on high for 4-6, or low 6-8 hours, until the pork chops are done.  Add ½ cup water as needed.
