Serves
[ingredients title=”Ingredients”]
- 1 head of green cabbage, cut into 4 wedges
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 slices of bacon
- Aluminum foil
- Balsamic vinegar, optional
[/ingredients]
[directions title=”Instructions”]
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- In a medium sized bowl add the olive oil, butter, salt, black pepper, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. Mix with a fork or whisk.
- Spread the mixture on the cabbage wedges.
- Wrap each wedge with 2 slices of bacon.
- Place each cabbage wedge on a piece of foil large enough to wrap the cabbage and seal the edges.
- Place the cabbage on the grill and turn the heat down to low. Cook for 10 minutes, turning the cabbage every few minutes. Remove one wedge from the grill and carefully open the foil. Check to make sure the bacon is cooked and the cabbage is how you like it. If needed seal the foil and cook additionally as grills vary.
- Remove the cabbage and take off the foil. Turn the grill up to high and place the cabbage on the grill to brown the bacon, about 1 minute per side.
- Serve with Balsamic vinegar, optional
