HONEY-GINGER PORK STIR-FRY – September 16 – National Honey Month

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1-inch fresh ginger grated
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin, trimmed of fat, and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed, and cut in half (about ½ pound)
  • 4 cups cooked rice

 

Instructions

In a small dish combine the honey, sesame oil, soy sauce, cornstarch, ginger, and garlic.  Add oil to a large skillet or wok and place over medium high heat.  When hot add the pork.  Cook until pork is browned on all sides, stirring frequently.  Turn the head down to medium and add the green beans.  Cook for another 5-6 minutes.  Stir in the sauce and cook for 1 minute.  Serve over rice.
