HOAGIE SANDWICH – September 14 – National Eat a Hoagie Day

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 4 hoagie rolls (or small Italian bread loaf)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 slices of genoa salami
  • 8 slices of sliced honey ham
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • ½ head of coarsely shredded lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes sliced
  • ½ medium red onion sliced
  • 4 pepperoncini peppers, drained, seeded, and sliced (optional)

Instructions

Slice the rolls and drizzle with olive oil.  Layer the salami, ham, cheeses.  Top with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and peppers.
