TEMPURA DIPPING SAUCE

  • ¾ cup water
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup mirin, if available, or rice wine vinegar
  • ½ inch fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 green onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  1. Mix all of the ingredients in a medium bowl.  
  2. Serve with tempura fish, chicken, or vegetables.
